Descendants of Thomas Vivion  

 

First Generation

   

          1.  Thomas¹ Vivion was born in Of Radnor, Cheshire, England 1631.  Thomas died 1670 in Isle of Wright, Virginia, at 39 years of age. 

        He married Mary Vivion.  Mary was born in Of Radnor, Cheshire, England 1633.   

       At 24 years of age Thomas became the father of John (Sr.) Vivion in Middlesex, Virginia, 1655.  

            Thomas Vivion and Mary Vivion had the following family:  

            2 i. Joel² Vivion.

            3 ii. William Vivion.

            4 iii. Robert Vivion.

         + 5 iv. John (Sr.) Vivion was born 1655.  

  

 Second Generation

   

       5.  John (Sr.)² Vivion (Thomas¹) was born in Middlesex, Virginia 1655.  John died June 4, 1705 in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia, at 49 years of age.   

       He married three times.  He married Diana Cummings.  He married Christian Briscoe.  Christian was born 1681.  He married Margaret Smith in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia, 1675.  Margaret was born in Middlesex County, Virginia 1662.  Margaret was the daughter of Alexander Smith and Mary Anne Cocke.  Margaret died 1703 in Middlesex County, Virginia, at 41 years of age.   

       At 24 years of age John became the father of Charles Vivion 1679.  At 25 years of age John became the father of Diana Vivion 1680.  At 26 years of age John became the father of John (Jr.) Vivion 1681.  At 27 years of age John became the father of Thomas Vivion 1682.  At 28 years of age John became the father of Margaret Vivion in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia, April 2, 1684.  At 39 years of age John became the father of Lord Thomas Vivion in Middlesex, Virginia, 1694.  At 39 years of age John became the father of Charles Vivion in Middlesex, Virginia, 1694.  John Vivion Sr., married three times. First was Margaret Smith, then Diana Cummings, thence Christian Briscoe.  

            John (Sr.) Vivion and Margaret Smith had the following family:  

            6 i. Charles³ Vivion was born 1679.

            7 ii. Diana Vivion was born 1680.

         + 8 iii. John (Jr.) Vivion was born 1681.

            9 iv. Thomas Vivion was born 1682.  He married Frances Thacker.

         + 10 v. Margaret Vivion was born April 2, 1684.

          11 vi. Lord Thomas Vivion was born in Middlesex, Virginia 1694.  Lord died 1761 in Lancaster, Virginia, at 67 years of age.

          12 vii. Charles Vivion was born in Middlesex, Virginia 1694.

   

 Third Generation  

  

       8.  John (Jr.)³ Vivion (John (Sr.)², Thomas¹) was born 1681.  John died 1721 at 40 years of age.   

       He married Elizabeth Thacker.   

       At 33 years of age John became the father of John (III) Vivion 1714.  At 38 years of age John became the father of Elizabeth Vivion 1719.

             John (Jr.) Vivion and Elizabeth Thacker had the following family:  

          13 i. John (III)⁴ Vivion was born 1714.  John died 1790 at 76 years of age.  He married Jane Smith.

          14 ii. Elizabeth Vivion was born 1719.  She married Mr. Brooking.     

       10.  Margaret³ Vivion (John (Sr.)², Thomas¹) was born in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia April 2, 1684.  Margaret died May 5, 1750 in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia, at 66 years of age.   

       She married James Daniel in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia, January 27, 1703/1704.  James was born in Middlesex, Virginia 1680.  James was the son of Capt. William (Sr.) Daniel and Jochabed Smith.  James died 1748 in Middlesex, Virginia, at 68 years of age.   

       At 20 years of age Margaret became the mother of Rachel Daniel in Middlesex County, Virginia, October 14, 1704.  At 22 years of age Margaret became the mother of Peter Daniel 1706.  At 25 years of age Margaret became the mother of Charles Daniel 1709.  At 32 years of age Margaret became the mother of James Daniel 1716.  At 37 years of age Margaret became the mother of John Daniel 1721.  At 40 years of age Margaret became the mother of Phebe Daniel 1724.  At 42 years of age Margaret became the mother of Vivion Daniel 1726.  At 44 years of age Margaret became the mother of Susanna Daniel 1728.  At 46 years of age Margaret became the mother of Margaret Daniel 1730.  Birth date is sometime before this date, as this was first event for which there is a recorded date.  

                 Margaret Vivion and James Daniel had the following family:  

          15 i. William⁴ Daniel.

          16 ii. Robert Daniel.

         + 17 iii. Rachel Daniel was born October 14, 1704.

          18 iv. Peter Daniel was born 1706.

          19 v. Charles Daniel was born 1709.  Charles died 1799 at 90 years of age.  He married Jane Mickelborough.

          20 vi. James Daniel was born 1716.

          21 vii. John Daniel was born 1721.

          22 viii. Phebe Daniel was born 1724.

          23 ix. Vivion Daniel was born 1726.  He married Elizabeth Vivion.

          24 x. Susanna Daniel was born 1728.  She married Henry Mickelborough.

          25 xi. Margaret Daniel was born 1730.  She married John Towles.

   

 Fourth Generation

   

       17.  Rachel⁴ Daniel (Margaret³ Vivion, John (Sr.)², Thomas¹) was born in Middlesex County, Virginia October 14, 1704.  Rachel died 1784 in Middlesex, Virginia, at 79 years of age.   

       She married Thomas (III) Amis in Middlesex County, Virginia, November 14, 1722.  Thomas was born in Middlesex, Virginia 1694.  Thomas was the son of Louis Amis.  Thomas died 1764 in North Carolina, at 70 years of age.   

       She was christened in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia, November 15, 1704.  At 19 years of age Rachel became the mother of John Amis in Middlesex County, Virginia, August 20, 1724.  At 21 years of age Rachel became the mother of Thomas (Jr) Amis in England, 1726.  At 23 years of age Rachel became the mother of Frances Amis in England, 1728.  At 25 years of age Rachel became the mother of Mary Amis in North Carolina, 1730.  At 27 years of age Rachel became the mother of Thomas Amis in North Carolina, 1732.  

            Rachel Daniel and Thomas (III) Amis had the following family:  

     +   26 i. John⁵ Amis was born August 20, 1724.

          27 ii. Thomas (Jr) Amis was born in England 1726.  Thomas died November 20, 1797 in Halifax County, North Carolina, at 71 years of age.  He married Miss Bennehan.  Information from "Memories and Records of Eastern North Carolina", p. 139 by Mary Meeks Lambeth. No records of any descendants from this union.

          28 iii. Frances Amis was born in England 1728.  She married Thomas Wilburne.  Thomas was born in England 1724.  No additional records located on this family.

          29 iv. Mary Amis was born in North Carolina 1730.

          30 v. Thomas Amis was born in North Carolina 1732.  Thomas died November 20, 1797 in Northampton, North Carolina, at 65 years of age.  His body was interred November 20, 1797 in Halifax, North Carolina.
